Please don’t say you’re still using audio cassettes and VHS video tapes! That is so 1980’s (70’s?!!). It is also still very poor quality (as you know, VHS stands for Very Horrible Signal). This class will introduce you to the marvelous easy-to-use and very cost-effective CD and DVD recording, duplication and printing technologies available here in the early 21st century! Even today’s disc handling technology is designed to be as easy as possible to use. Yet many ministries continue to compromise the quality and quantity of their media ministry when it comes to those shiny round discs with a hole in the middle. There are few better methods of multiplying ministry through media than the effective use of CD and DVD disc-based technologies. Sure the web is becoming THE place to display and distribute all manner of ministry audio/video content. Sure there are brand spakin’ new HD DVD technologies just around the corner (here!) but the billions of “old faithful” CDs and DVDs on the planet are not going the way of the 8-track anytime soon. In the meantime it behooves us to maximize the use of disc-based media on behalf of expressing and expanding the ministry God has called us to on all fronts. |
